Heimdall Health, LLC is a start-up medical device company that is working towards the design and development of The Mapping Otoscope. Our objective is to have a global distribution of The Mapping Otoscope to reduce misdiagnosis rates of Otitis Media.

The Mapping Otoscope
The Mapping Otoscope is an improved pneumatic otoscope that will be used to examine children's ear canals to more accurately determine if an infection is present. This device will measure the displacement of the tympanic membrane in response to a pressure stimulus at all points along the membrane. The user will be able to visualize this information on a screen for improved diagnosis.

Tarek Marrouche
Cofounder / Manager
Tarek Marrouche has three years of research experience in biochemistry and biomedical engineering. He has prior experience in the innovation of medical devices and has a Master's in biomedical engineering from the University of Utah. He currently serves as the manager of Heimdall Health, LLC and is working towards a Master's in Business Creation at the University of Utah to complement this role.

Allie Kachel
Cofounder
Allie Kachel has three years of professional experience in the medical device industry as a Research and Development intern at Becton Dickinson and Coherex Medical. She recently graduated with a Master's in biomedical engineering from the University of Utah. At Heimdall Health, LLC, Allie will be focused on the research and development of The Mapping Otoscope.

Nicholas Witham
Cofounder
Nicholas Witham has four years of experience in medical device design, bioinstrumentation, electronics, and rapid prototyping. Nicholas is currently pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering at the University of Utah. At Heimdall Health, LLC, Nicholas has played a critical role for the research and development of The Mapping Otoscope, including the software and CAD models.

Bryan McRae, MD
Cofounder / ENT Specialist
Dr. Bryan McRae is an ENT specialist at the University of Utah hospital. Due to his expertise in the field, he discovered the clinical problem that The Mapping Otoscope is addressing. At Heimdall Health, LLC, Dr. McRae will assist in clinical testing, publications, and customer recruitment.
